Our Mission

The purpose of this club is to enhance the learning and understanding of topics related to clinical anatomy and pathology. We aim to facilitate student networking with professors, physicians, and their peers by hosting educational and social events. We believe that placing an early emphasis on clinical anatomy and pathology is foundational to the education of medical students and serves as an important framework for future academic and clinical careers.

Services Provided   

Our primary goals are to facilitate student networking with professors, physicians, and their peers, and to promote the significance of clinical anatomy and pathology in medical education and clinical practice.           

Tentative Schedule for 2026-2027

Fall

  • Injection Ultrasound Event with Sports Medicine Club (Around September) - Introducing officers and advisors, sharing club goals and future meeting dates. Injecting dye into anatomy donor joints/veins via ultrasound guidance.
  • Phlebotomy Event (Around October) - Learn about the phlebotomy profession with OSU phlebotomy students and faculty. Hands on activities like blood smears, blood typing, and CBC testing will be available.
  • Craniotomies (Around November) - Opportunities for first and second years to participate in craniotomy dissections

Spring

  • Franklin County Coroner Office Tour with Dr. Overmire (Beginning of Spring Semester) - Tour Coroner office facilities. Meet with Franklin county pathologists to learn more about the profession.
  • Collab Event with Ortho or EM Club (Mid-to-late Spring Semester) 

    *Most events will be free and depend on physician volunteer availability; if we decide to provide food, we will use annual dues to finance it.
