OHIO students invited to network with employers, learn from alumni at National Engineers Week events

91原创鈥檚 Russ College of Engineering and Technology will celebrate National Engineers Week on Feb. 22-28 with a wide range of events for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community residents.

The week is also the annual Russ Career and Networking Week, and this year鈥檚 events will include activities to assist OHIO students in their career searches as well as opportunities to connect with and hear from alumni.

Engineers Week is celebrated across the country each year as way to highlight how engineers make a positive difference in the world. The week also helps promote the national conversation about the incredible need for engineers and to help bring engineering to life for students, educators and parents.

OHIO鈥檚 Russ College of Engineering and Technology is known for its ground-breaking research, outstanding opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, and high job placement rates for graduates.

All members of the OHIO community are invited to the upcoming Engineering Week activities.

National Engineers Week activities

- Join the Russ College of Engineering and Technology for coffee/tea and networking as the college kicks off National Engineers Week and Russ Career and Networking Week. Stop by to mingle and connect with students, faculty and staff. Open to all on Monday, Feb. 23, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Academic and Research Center (ARC) Atrium. 

- In this interactive "Networking with Confidence" workshop, students will explore effective networking strategies and practical tips for engaging with employers. Whether you're preparing for the upcoming career fairs or need to boost your confidence, this session will help to set you up for success. Free coffee and Timbits for all attendees. Open to all on Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 3-4:15 p.m. in the Academic and Research Center (ARC) 112.

- Hear from employers, industry leaders and alumni working in engineering and technology as they share candid insights into the hiring and recruiting process, key competencies employers seek, and practical strategies students can use to stand out when applying for internships and jobs. This event is open to all on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 3-4 p.m. in Stocker Center 103. Light refreshments and networking will follow until 4:30 p.m. in the Stocker Center Lobby.

- Meet with top employers recruiting Bobcats for internships, co-ops, and full-time positions in engineering and technology fields. All Russ College students are encouraged to attend, no matter your class year鈥攖his is your chance to explore career opportunities and make professional connections. Students, Professional dress and r茅sum茅s are strongly recommended. The career fair will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Baker University Center Ballroom.
