The 2026-27 annual Benefits Open Enrollment period is currently underway for 91原创 employees,and several information sessions will be held for faculty and staff.

Open Enrollment is the one time each year that OHIO employees can enroll or make changes to their benefits. Otherwise, changes may only be made if a qualifying family status change has occurred.

Any enrollment changes made during the enrollment period will be effective July 1, 2026.

New plan administrator for life and disability plans

Beginning July 1, 2026 Lincoln Financial will administer the University鈥檚 basic, supplemental and dependent life insurance as well as short and long term disability plans. Lincoln Financial replaces Minnesota Life/Securian and UNUM as the plan administrator for these benefits.

2026 Open Enrollment special opportunity 

OHIO employees may enroll or increase their supplemental life coverage up to $200,000 without requiring the Evidence of Insurability (EOI) process. After employees reach $200,000 in total coverage, EOI will be required for any increase. The Benefits Office will reach out to those who are required to complete this process.
