30-minute unloading zones will be available in campus parking lots and designated spaces adjacent to the residence halls. Please follow all campus signage.
Once belongings are unloaded please move your vehicle to an extended parking area.
Meters in a variety of locations throughout campus will be designated as move-in unloading zones with a 30-minute maximum to accommodate those needing close access to the residence halls. Designated parking areas will be noted with signage.
Parking lots on campus are labeled by color on permanent signage. Extended parking can be found in any dark green or purple lot on campus that is not specifically marked as 30-minute unloading zone.
Parking is NOT permitted in fire lanes.
While parking on the grass is not normally permitted, a special exception will be made in certain areas to accommodate a large number of vehicles moving into residence halls. Please only utilize parking within the grass in approved locations as directed by an OHIO staff member.

CATS is a free shuttle service for students and visitors traveling to multiple destinations throughout campus. Campus shuttles are available to help you get around once you鈥檙e on campus. Please note that some routes may operate on modified service hours during the move-in period.
Students can also use the Bobcat Pass (Athens Public Transit Partnership), which provides both campus and community fixed-route service. Your student ID card serves as an unlimited fare card for these routes.
For those needing additional accessibility support, Paratransit services are available through CATCAB, which offers limited and permanent mobility transportation.
CATS Late Night is a free on-demand transit service for students and visitors at night, providing a safe and secure method of travel across campus. Riders are encouraged to schedule rides in advance. Requests for on-demand service are also accepted. Wait times are dependent on demand.
