Dean's Message
Welcome to the College of Health Sciences and Professions at 91原创.
For more than four decades, CHSP has prepared health and human service professionals who improve lives, strengthen communities, and advance the future of health. Since our founding in 1979, the college has grown into one of the nation's largest health-focused colleges, bringing together a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners who share a commitment to improving health and well-being.
At CHSP, we believe health is bigger than health care alone. Health is shaped by the environments where people live, learn, work, and age. It is influenced by access, opportunity, collaboration, innovation, and community. Preparing future professionals to address these complex challenges requires more than disciplinary expertise, it requires experiential learning, teamwork, and a commitment to lifelong discovery.
Our work is guided by three Shared Priorities that unite our professions while honoring the unique strengths of each discipline:
Practice-Ready. We prepare students through experiential learning that connects classroom knowledge with real-world impact. Across our programs, students learn alongside faculty, clinicians, community partners, and organizations that are addressing today's most pressing health challenges.
Team-Ready. Health and human services are increasingly delivered through collaborative teams. We equip students to work across professions, disciplines, and settings, preparing them to contribute effectively in environments where partnership and communication are essential.
Future-Ready. Through research, scholarship, innovation, and evidence-informed practice, we are advancing new knowledge and preparing graduates to lead in a rapidly changing world. From clinical and community-based research to simulation, technology, and emerging models of care, CHSP is helping shape the future of health and well-being.

Having spent much of my career in CHSP, I have witnessed firsthand the passion, dedication, and impact of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners. It is an honor to serve as Interim Dean, and I look forward to working together to build upon the college's strong tradition of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
