Industrial Engineering Minor

The Industrial Engineering Minor trains its participants in the design and management of systems and processes to achieve productivity and quality. The minor is relevant for many disciplines including other types of engineering, health care, and science. For jobs that involve overseeing day-to-day operations, IE skills help to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations. Other classes in the minor demonstrate the application of statistics, programming, and economic analysis from an engineering perspective.

  • Courses & Curriculum

    The Industrial Engineering Minor requires a minimum of 16 credit hours. Core courses include ET 3300 - Engineering Economy, ISE 1200 - Software Tools for Industrial and Systems Engineering, and ISE 3341 - Work Design, plus programming, statistics and elective courses.
