Administrative Modernization Program
Program Summary: The Administrative Modernization Program (AMP) is focused on improving how 91原创 operates by simplifying processes, reducing friction through automation, and improving access to reliable institutional data. This work is enabled by the enterprise platform Oracle Cloud that supports more consistent, efficient, and sustainable HR and finance operations across the University. It is a cross-functional effort sponsored by OIT, Finance and Human Resources.

Canvas: Learning Management System Implementation Project
Project Summary: Canvas has been selected as the next vendor for 91原创鈥檚 learning management system (LMS) following a comprehensive evaluation process that included input from students, faculty, and staff across each of OHIO鈥檚 campuses. Over the next several years, all OHIO courses will transition from Blackboard Learn to Canvas.

Blackboard Retirement
Project Summary: As part of the University's transition to Canvas as our supported learning management system, Blackboard will be retired in June 2026. Instructors and organization leaders should save, migrate, or delete their Blackboard content, while students are encouraged to download any desired materials from their courses.

Enterprise Survey and Course Evaluation Project
Project Summary: The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is launching a comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP) project to assess OHIO鈥檚 enterprise survey and course evaluation solutions (currently Qualtrics and Blue). With contracts for these tools and REDCap ending in 2027, this project aims to identify a strategic approach for technologies that support academic and administrative functions, enhance data collection, and improve the user experience for the University community.

Lecture Capture Tool Evaluation Project
Project Summary: The Teaching and Learning team is launching a lecture capture Request for Proposals (RFP) project during Spring 2025 in preparation for the end of our current contract with Panopto in June 2026. The RFP process includes feedback requests, demonstrations, and testing opportunities for OHIO faculty, staff, and students. Recommendations for the selected platform are expected in late Summer 2025.

Telephone Modernization Project
Project Summary: The Telephone Modernization Project is designed to modernize the University鈥檚 telephone infrastructure by transitioning from legacy systems to more scalable, cost-effective, and future-ready solutions. This includes migrating users to Microsoft Teams Phone, updating call center and call recording technologies with modern alternatives, and consolidating data for more accurate asset management.

AI Community of Interest
Initiative Summary: The AI Community of Interest at OHIO is an open group dedicated to supporting and exploring the evolving role of AI (artificial intelligence) on campus. Led by OIT, we actively support AI initiatives across the university to foster innovation and collaboration.

Classroom Assistance Ticket System (C.A.T.S.)
Initiative Summary: The Classroom Assistance Ticket System (C.A.T.S) is designed to streamline classroom issue reporting and resolution at OHIO. By providing a centralized point of contact, C.A.T.S simplifies the process for faculty and students to report problems and ensures that issues are addressed efficiently. This collaborative project aims to improve the overall classroom experience for the OHIO community.
